Taking a Course For Category A1
A course in category A1 is an important step in getting your licence. It is not the only step. You must also pass the practical test.

Theoretical lessons
Sigma Aerospace College provides courses that cover all the theoretical requirements for obtaining the pilot's license. This includes the MEA Aeroskills Training package as well as Part 66 module assessments. These courses also meet licensing criteria for the European Union. However the practical training isn't included in these courses. Students can complete their practical training by using RPL.
The theory lessons are a crucial element of the class in the category A1. You must complete 12 theory lessons each lasting 90 minutes, in order to pass the theory test. However, the amount of these classes could be reduced based on the progress you've made in your learning.
The theoretical lessons concentrate on the considerations of audience, function and stylistic decisions for the texts you write. You will also learn to distinguish between facts, opinions and judgments as well as how to think inductively and deductively. Practical lessons
The A1 course is designed to prepare students for the motorcycle practical test. This course is intended for those who want to ride a moped, or a small motorbike that has a capacity of up to 125cc. The practical lessons include the theory and the practice of basic riding skills. The course is minimum four hours. Students who wish to pass the test must have at least 9 hours of training with an instructor.
The practical lessons in the category A1 course are divided into several sections. The first part is a theoretical lesson on the basic rules of driving. The next is a practical lesson on the road in which the student is able to practice the manoeuvres which will be tested in the Mod 1 test. The final lesson is the actual test and lasts for about 15 minutes. During the test students will be asked to execute various maneuvers on Federal or country roads. The student will also have to complete a variety of special rides like driving at dawn, during rain, or at night.
In addition to the theory and practical lessons students must also pass a written examination. The exam is comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions. The test must be passed with the minimum score of 41 points. The test isn't too difficult, but many students are anxious about passing it. To help them feel more confident, they should practice the test as much as possible.
After the practical course is completed students can take the Mod 1 test to receive an authorization to drive motorbikes of category A1. This permit permits the driver to ride on public roads with an accompanying passenger. The Strassenverkehrsamt must issue the permit. The process may differ from one canton to the next however, it usually takes a few weeks or days to get the permit.

Theory test
You must pass the theory test to get an A1 license before you are able to start your practical training. The theory test consists of 40 questions, 10 of which focus on road safety. The test lasts 30 minutes long, and you can only make five mistakes.

Practical test
